What is your A-Ha! Moment?
"My A-Ha! Moment is probably from the first time I stepped on stage. I never planned to be a performer. MY mom actually forced me on stage and I never would have imagined feeling like it was where I was supposed to be. I honestly owe my music path to my mom because if she didn't tell me to get on that stage I would still be trying to figure out what I wanna do with my life. So many doors have been opened for me since then."

Who are your influences?
"I listen to a lot of European artists. I would say Joy Crookes and Adele. Growing up I listened to Lauren Hill and Erykah Badu."
You can't expect people to support you just because you tell them to.
How do you feel our digital age has changed the music industry?
"Oh my goodness! Digital platforms has made it so much easier to branch out and grow internationally. I've been using it to connect with people before travel and find studios wherever I go which is great for networking."
What's your "trademark"?
"Every one of my songs has a telephone effect. I just love using it."
Every artist has a different mind and different perspective in their craft... let us into yours.
If you could collaborate with one artist, who would it be and why?
"I wanna get into making reggae. I would love to get Burna Boy on a track!"
If you could create a playlist to listen to for the rest of your life, what 5 songs would you include in the playlist?
"Abussey Junction by KOKOROKO, Two Nights by Joy Crookes, Kick Push by Lupe Fiasco, Location by Dave (feat. Burna Boy), and Feel The Need by Eryn Allen Kane."
If you could accomplish only one goal of yours in your artistic career, what would that be?
"I wanna be able to bring up my community with me. There are tons of talented people in my area who are not being heard but should be! It would be amazing to start a seminar for songwriters in the area on marketing yourself and how to network yourself. Every artist has a different mind and different perspectives in their craft... let us into yours. I have a big heart for community. I think it is SO important to be open to being active in your community and supporting other local talent. You can't expect people to support you just because you tell them to. It is more fun to have a hometown connection anyways. Especially my area. There are so many unique personalities and such a large network of creatives. You could be missing out."
